Job Summary

Wickes Forensic Accounting & Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced accounting professional specializing in litigation matters or a CPA with 3+ years of experience. Our practice offers a wide variety of forensic accounting services, litigation support services, collaborative divorce financial services, and internal control consulting. The diverse forensic accounting cases are interesting and challenging and involve divorces, owner/stakeholder disputes, calculations of losses / economic damages for commercial and personal matters, construction contract disputes and other civil economic damages, as well as employee fraud-related criminal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional who has interest in the area of forensic accounting, investigations, economics, and litigation to work in all aspects of cases and to develop a long-term career in this niche area of accounting. Some travel is required. Total compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.   • Assist with all facets of engagements, including engagement management administration
  • Gather, organize, understand, analyze and summarize supporting documentation
  • Review and analyze historical financial statements, accounting records, and tax returns, industry information, revenue, and expense projections
  • Data mine and analyze accounting data and related records
  • Reconstruct financial and accounting records, fraudulent transactions, etc.
  • Trace funds, assets, and various transactions
  • Compile and analyze facts and circumstances to formulate, substantiate and critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions
  • Draft questions for witnesses, interrogatories, document requests, deposition and cross-examination questions
  • Draft reports and the prepare related tables, exhibits and charts
  • Assist with speaking engagements and other promotional endeavors
  • Cultivate and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues/referral sources and clients

Basic Qualifications

  • Public accounting (CPA Firm) experience
  • CPA, CFE, and/or CFF certifications or working towards completion
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to handle short deadlines, work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects, plan work activities and use time efficiently
  • Able to work independently to gather facts, organize data, perform various analysis, and identify relevant issues
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA
  • CFE and CFF or other comparable certification
  • At least 3 years audit and tax experience in public accounting (CPA Firm)
  • Professional experience in litigation services and forensic accounting
  • Bachelors in Accounting and Masters in Forensic Accounting
  • Experience mining and analyzing transactional data
